BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE IMAX TEASER TRAILER EVENT RECAP

Hello Everyone,
I am here to give my recollection of all of the events that have taken placed during the IMAX presentation for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Teaser Trailer. Definitely wanted to share my thoughts and opinions of the entire experience in the theater and how well the exclusive shots for the IMAX teaser had a very huge impact on the experience as a whole. The presentation was free and myself and colleague and I went to the theater and were directed to the IMAX presentation where were greeted by two representatives of Warner Bros. who handed us our passes that had the Batman v Superman logo on it and we went to sit down.

Reading the pass that we received it indicated that we write our emails down legibly and hand the passed back to the representatives upon exiting the presentation. The reason being that we will be given passes to see an advance screening of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice a week before the film is released in theaters. The two representatives came into the theater and explained the pass privileges and how we are able to get the advance screening in more detail as well as talking about the leaked version of the teaser. He mentioned that this version of the teaser is exclusive to the IMAX presentation and will not be used anywhere else and the official teaser that was released online that weekend prior to the presentation will be the same one shown in the presentation but will not show the except the IMAX teaser will never be released online.

The two reps went on to say thank you to everyone that came out to see the IMAX teaser. Before turning the lights down they mentioned to put away all cellphones and recording device for the room was being monitored via night vision surveillance. With those closing words, the lights went down low and the screen illuminated with director Zack Snyder greeting the audience and saying thanks to the fans for coming to the event. He also said for fans not to record anything on screen and the teaser began.

The same official teaser was that is online is the exact same teaser with the voiceover of the various characters and seeing the statute of The Man of Steel with the words 'False God' spray painted as an act of Vandalism across the S on his chest. It followed by the voiceover of Alfred talking and fading up to Bruce Wayne looking grim before cutting to the cape and cowl of the Batman outfit encased and vacant. The various cuts of the symbol of Batman and Superman up close and out of focus and the shots of a drone like aircraft which could be the Batwing delivering a payload to criminals followed by the Batmobile seen piercing through an explosion from behind. This followed a quick flash of Batman in full costume standing up from what appears to be wreckage around him. Another shot of Batman wearing the Bat armor with glowing eyes in the rain. Cut to Superman hovering in the night sky against the backdrop of a rain and thunderstorm.

You here the voice of can be assumed to be assumed to be Batman saying, "Tell me, do you bleed?" We see the shot of Superman jettison down to the ground landing on his feet causing the ground to tremble and shake around him. The teaser cuts to black and you hear the same voice say, "You will." The Superman symbol appears followed by the Batman logo appearing behind it. And here is the part that was exclusively for the IMAX:

There was a cut to a close on Superman charging towards to something off camera on the right, his face showing anger. Cut to Batman in his armor charging towards something off camera towards the left of the screen. Cut to see both Superman and Batman charging at one another. Cuts to black the second they are about to clash.

We fade up from black and we are greeted and thanked by Zack Snyder again for coming to the screening and he tells us to enjoy seeing the teaser one more time. Thunderous applause from the audience and we all then vacate the theater all turning in our passes with our emails to get the advanced screening tickets. And before leaving we were given each one Superman poster and one Batman poster. All in all, it was a very fun time indeed and glad to have had the opportunity to go to the event. Definitely wanted to make sure that I took the time to write out the entire event and share it with you all.

Thank you for taking the time in reading this and more posts and updates are coming. Stay tuned. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters 2016
