In theaters June 6, 2013, ' After Earth ' stars Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith as a father and son have crashed landed on Earth and must fight in order to survive. New film directed by M. Night Shyamalan. 2013 is shaping up to be a good year for science fiction.

We have the new trailer for ' Man of Steel ' that was released online today! This trailer is close if not the same one that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer. This is a definite new take on the franchise and looks to be solid and character driven. ' Man of Steel ' in theaters June 2013.

In theaters this April 12, 2013, ' Oblivion ' is directed by Joseph Kosinksi and starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman and Olga Kurylenko. This is one of the big film science fiction films of 2013. Enjoy!

We have the official announcement teaser for ' Star Trek Into Darkness ' that is in theaters May 17, 2013. The jury is out on who is the villain that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing, but this is definitely going to be a must-see for 2013. New trailer coming to theaters next year with ' The Hobbit ' as well as the nine minute opening for ' The Hobbit IMAX 3D ' showings. UPDATE! HERE IS THE JAPANESE TRAILER WITH THE EXTRA FOOTAGE. The additional 15 seconds in this trailer has a shot that is reminiscent to ' Star Trek: Wrath of Khan ' in which Kirk and Spock place their hands against the glass and it was Spock who sacrificed himself and died to save the crew on the USS Enterprise. Could we see something similar to that in this film? The jury is out.

The first official poster for the new installment of ' Star Trek Into Darkness ' has been released yesterday and it looks epic. This looks to be a very dark story and the synopsis hints at a villain returning from the shows but does not indicate Khan necessarily. Here is the official: "When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew."   'Star Into Darkness' releases in theaters May 17, 2013
